This USB Cassette has all the nights of the tour stop! All of the free live streams and the audio as well as some bonus material! A new fun way to collect art and have a hard copy of the tour stop forever! The cover is a foil-embossed cardstock. This little passion project is 100% tediously hand-made and all original art and memories stuffed into an almost familiar package. The USB Cassette itself is very durable and was designed with a Live from the Swirl Bridge logo I developed during the early part of the tour. There is a USB cassette for every stop of the tour and then one for the 3 festivals. Plug this into your Xbox or car and jam out or upload from USB to device and then keep safely in its case on your bookshelf! I will be bundling the entire tour with a small discount if bought all at once. I am sourcing some softcases for the set; I have a few for the first orders! Please allow 4 weeks to assemble and deliver. If you are interested in obtaining an actual tape copy of a stop message me. I can make a custom box set for you (because each stop will be many many tapes).
Some backstory:
On this project, like the baseball cards, I find myself drawing inspiration from my childhood.
As my dad, who was very into music, mostly Blues and Jam bands, had a friend over from Colorado when I was 14 and kind of changed the trajectory of my life real casually.
Dad said, "So you know I love music, well, this guy LooOoOoOVvesS music!"
and then he gave me a high five and a brown paper bag full of cassettes in those soft zipper cases.
At the time, I was mostly into Sublime, RATM, and Smashing Pumpkins and Death Row Records for some reason, with a little Pantera sprinkled in. But had a massive scope of music from the records my dad played my whole life, which were very diverse from Bowie to Sabbath to String Cheese and Tone Loc... but he never really mentioned Phish. He liked the Dead a bit but wasn’t that hippie.
So this whole bag was full of Phish live-recorded sets from the early 90s and a few Dead ones.
It was a real wild exploration for me at the time. First hearing "covers" of songs I already knew and being able to vibe immediately to “Whoa, Trey, WTF, mate?” That led to me at 16 going to my first Trey Band show in Chicago and getting hooked! I then went on tour following Umphreys and Cheese for about ten years and saw over 100 shows with each of them. Phish did a lot of weird hiatus stuff during this time, but I’ve still caught them probably 15 times over the years, including a mini reunion in Rothbury. Phish led to Umph, led to Cheese, led to EOTO, led to Pretty Lights. Transitive property ya?
